How do I reschedule Lessons?

Rescheduling lessons is easy at mylesson.live. All you have to do is go to your Teach Lessons section of the dashboard and find the lesson you would like to reschedule under the My Lesson Details list and click on the Reschedule button. We recommend you contact your student via mylesson.live messaging service to notify and discuss of any necessary changes to scheduled lessons.

What happens when a student cancels a booking?

At Mylesson.live, our policy is that students enjoy lessons on their terms, no questions asked. All students have the option to cancel lessons 24hrs prior to a lesson booking. You will be notified of any cancellations via email. It is up to the student to re-book a lesson with you or use the funds to have lessons with another teacher. Cancellations within 24hrs of a booked lesson are not possible….it is up to the teacher’s discretion if they offer the student a makeup lesson by rescheduling the allotted time, or if the teacher keeps the teachers fee.

What happens if a student is a no show?

No shows are fully charged to the student, and the teacher gets paid as if the lesson occurred. It is up to the teacher’s discretion if they decide to reschedule a no show for extreme circumstances the student might have undergone preventing them to be present for their lesson.

How do I start a lesson on mylesson.live?

At mylesson.live, we’ve made it easy for teachers to initiate lessons. Simply go to the Teach Lessons tab, and find the lesson you would like to initiate, and hit the Start Lesson button. Provided that your student has also initiated to start their lesson, your live video connection will start in a matter of seconds. At times, you may be required to be patient, and wait a few minutes for your student to get themselves organised. Communication via our messaging service is key if any student fails to show for their lesson or is late in connecting. We have also implemented a counter that starts timing your lessons from the time the lesson was scheduled to start. That way the teacher and student will have a visual representation of the timing of the lesson.

What should I do once I sign up?

Mylesson.live first needs to approve you as a teacher before you can gain full access to the platform. We take child protection seriously, and work in accordance with the law to ensure that all teachers have no criminal records and hold working with children’s certificates. Once approved, you will need to create a Profile on mylesson.live. Head over to the Profile section of mylesson.live, and fill in all details to describe and advertise your services effectively. Mylesson.live will not approve any teacher profiles without adequate information which includes a valid profile picture. In the Profile section, you can determine how much you would like to charge for your services, and if you would like to include discounts for students who purchase 10 or 6 lessons in bulk.

How do I advertise my lessons on mylesson.live?

On mylesson.live, adding your services on our platform for students to view your profile and book lessons is free and easy. All you have to do is head over to the My Lessons tab,and click on the Add button. From there you can add your lesson details, organise your teaching schedules and availabilities, and once all information is submitted, your profile and services for that lesson will be added to our platform for all students to be able to view, engage with and book lessons with you.
